Wayne Powers joined Catalina as President and Chief Executive Officer in October 2019 to champion the company’s investments, innovation and growth in areas critical to the digital marketing ecosystem, including advanced analytics, technology, personalization and measurement.
Wayne’s intimate understanding of the marketing and ad-tech ecosystem perfectly complements Catalina’s focus on fortifying its rich shopper intelligence and launching new products to help retailers, brands and agencies more precisely target, activate and measure consumer behavior across media channels.
Throughout his nearly three-decade career in media and marketing, Wayne has successfully driven top and bottom-line results for several large global companies, including Valassis, Time Inc., and Yahoo!.
Most recently, as President of Valassis, a leader in intelligent media delivery, Wayne was responsible for the company’s strategic direction, deepening the company’s product portfolio and enhancing the consumer experience. Earlier, Wayne was President of Gravity4, a multi-channel marketing services platform that enabled marketers to engage with targeted consumers throughout their purchase journey.
As President of Parade Media Group, he transformed the consumer and advertiser experience across print and digital channels including display, tablet and mobile. And, at Yahoo!, Wayne transformed the go-to-market strategy around solution selling across platforms including search, display, video, social and mobile as SVP, North America.
Previously, as President of Time Media Group, Wayne managed four operating divisions, most notably launching the Time, Inc. Digital Network, which aggregated the digital content and audiences across such brands as People, Sports Illustrated and Fortune into an integrated portfolio that allowed marketers to target consumers around relevant content and insights.
A native of the Midwest, Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University.
