Catalina Ocean Rafting
We are the only Company who operates Whale Watching excursions from Avalon, on Catalina Island. We are also one of only a few operators who use small Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats for our trips. These boats are fast and fun to ride on. We are close to the water so you can get eye to eye with many of our coastal marine inhabitants. We are on the search for Bald Eagles, Herons, Harbor Seals, Sea Lions, Dolphins, Grey Whales, Dalls Porpoise and Orcas on our two hour Whale Watching excursion. Newport Landing Whale Watching & Dolphin Trip (Only $30 Adults $25 Juniors)


Offering a day full of ocean adventures for only $69. Departing at 9am from Newport Beach, the cruise immediately begins with excellent viewing opportunities of whales and dolphins just outside Newport Harbor. For the next 2 ½ hours, viewing opportunities continue as our cruise crosses the Catalina Channel.

Upon reaching Catalina Island, the cruise stops at Avalon for a 2 hour drop off. During the 2 hours you can get a bite to eat or explore Avalon. Once the stop off in Avalon has concluded the cruise continues along the coast of Catalina Island. The waters just off Catalina Island can be some of the most productive for spotting whales. While viewing the beautiful coastline of Catalina you may spot a bald eagle snatching a fish from the ocean's surface or harbor seals at play in the protected waters and expansive kelp forests.
 Soon it is time to head back across the Catalina Channel to the Southern California mainland. You will dock back in Newport Harbor around 5:30 pm. www.newportwhales.com
