Nicknamed the "Isle of Romance", Catalina offers a variety of options to those wishing to be married on the Island. There are public parks, historic properties, hotels and inns, and of course, churches. It's recommended, of course, that you call in advance.

Public Parks

  • Buena Vista Point
    Overlooking both Avalon Bay and Lover's Cove. The unpaved area can accommodate up to 50 chairs. Popular with small weddings. Public area, first come, first serve.

    Historic Landmarks

  • The Historic Casino Ballroom
    Beautifully restored art deco landmark, can accommodate up to 1500. Ceremonies can take place from the center of the dance floor or the stage. Best for groups of 150+. Call 310-510-7400.
  • Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Gardens
    One and a half miles up Avalon Canyon. Ceremonies can take place in the Gardens or in the Memorial with a commanding view of hills and ocean. Reservations are required. Call 310-510-2288.

  • The Banning House Lodge
    Located at Two Harbors. A fully restored 1909 mansion. Services outside in the courtyard, or the deck; inside by the large fireplace. Groups from 2 to 150.
  • Catalina Canyon Resort
    Get married by the courtyard fountain, or by the rose garden. The hotel is sunny and secluded, and has the facilities to handle large groups and receptions. Call 310-510-0325.
  • Catalina Island Seacrest Inn
    Featuring third-story sundeck with archway and ocean view. Only a block from the beach. They also offer very competitive wedding and honeymoon packages. Call 310-510-0800.
  • Hotel Metropole
    The patio of the grand suite (which overlooks Front Street with ocean views) can accommodate up to 30 guests. There is also a sun deck, or large suites with ocean view balconies for smaller weddings. Call 310-510-1884.
  • Hotel Vincentes
    Two large suites have balconies that can handle up to 12 guests, and offer good views of the Bay. Call 310-510-1115.
  • Pavillion Lodge
    Steps away from the beach, with a manicured lawn and pretty staircase. Call 800-428-2566.
  • Seaport Village Inn
    Sunny manicured lawn next to hotel is good for both wedding and reception. Call 310-510-0344.
  • Hotel St. Lauren
    6th Floor patio wtih spectacular panoramic view of the ocean, Catalina Canyon & city of Avalon which can accomodate 40 guests. Call 1.800.645.2496.

  • The Landing
    Restaurant with sunny spanish-style patio, can handle large groups and dancing, with a good staircase for bride's entrance. A smaller deck has a view of the Bay. Extensive banquet facilities. Call 310-510-1474.

  • Avalon Community Church
    Avalon's oldest church, built in the 1890's. The chapel features stained glass and wooden pews, and seats up to 100. Located in the center of town. Call Pastor Ron Eroen for more info, at 310-510-1889.
