Hazardous Marine Life

Scorpionfish (Sculpin)
Well camouflaged on the bottom. Sharp poinsonous spines. If punctured, soak with hot water to relieve pain.




Moray Eel
Live in holes. Have sharp teeth, a good sense of smell and poor eyesight. Avoid sticking hands in holes and carrying game.


Stingray
Live on sand or mud bottoms. Have a sharp barb at the end of the tail. Avoid stepping on them when entering water by shuffling feet. Soak with hot water to relieve pain.


Torpedo Ray
Large round head and body. Mottled grayish-brown color. Lives on mud or sand bottom or may be free swimming. Can be agressive and deliver up to 80 volts electric charge. Avoid contact.


Shark
Have sharp teeth. Be aware when carring bloody fish. Avoid contact.
